  • Test Format:
    The exam consists of two dialogues, each approximately 300 words in length. Candidates are required to interpret both directions—from English to Sinhala and vice versa.
  • Scoring:
    Each dialogue is worth 45 marks, and a minimum of 29 in each dialogue and an overall score of 63 out of 90 is required to pass.
  • Delivery Mode:
    The test is conducted online via NAATI’s testing platform, allowing flexibility and accessibility from anywhere in the world.
  • Language Points for Visa:
    Passing the NAATI CCL test in Sinhala allows you to claim 5 bonus points under the Credentialed Community Language points category of Australia’s skilled migration program (subclass 189, 190, or 491).

Successful completion of this test allows candidates to claim 5 bonus points towards their skilled migration application.

The CCL test is ideal for bilingual individuals who are applying for Australian permanent residency under the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program and wish to gain extra points for their language skills.

● The test consists of two dialogues, each approximately 300 words long.
● The dialogues are played in segments, and you are required to interpret each segment from English to the LOTE and vice versa.
● The total duration is about 20 minutes.

● Each dialogue is worth 45 marks, making a total of 90 marks.
● To pass, you must score at least 63 out of 90 overall, with no dialogue scoring less than 29 marks.

The test is conducted online using NAATI’s official testing platform. Candidates can take the test from anywhere in the world, provided they meet the technical and identification requirements.

NAATI typically releases results within 8–10 weeks of the test date, although times may vary depending on demand.

There is no limit to how many times you can attempt the CCL test. However, you must pay the test fee each time you sit the exam.
